About Us
Overview
JF Actuarial Services, Inc. provides actuarial, administrative and consulting services to a wide range of qualified pension and profit sharing plans. Our smallest plans are single participant defined benefit plans for high-income owner-employees. Our largest plan has over 1,500 participants.
Mr. Gail E. Johnson is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA. Mr. Johnson's office is located in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Steven R. Pribis is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA. Mr. Pribis's office is located in Penllyn, Pennsylvania.
Pensions
JF Actuarial Services is a Pre-Approved Plan Sponsor under Rev. Proc. 2005-16. We are able to provide clients with a high degree of plan design flexibility at considerable savings over the cost of an individually drafted plan. We offer the advantages of the Pre-Approved Plan approach to comply with the latest tax laws, but we can also provide an individually designed plan if necessary to meet a client's documentation requirements.
The most appropriate qualified plan for a given client may be a profit sharing plan, a money purchase plan, a 401(k) plan, a defined benefit pension plan or a combination of these alternatives. The ideal investment medium may be a stock brokerage account, a mutual fund or an insurance product. We help our clients navigate the maze of available options without crushing them under details.
Unlike many pension consultants, our firm is not compensated by any provider of financial services, through commissions, 12b1 fees, management overrides, or other means. We perform services strictly on a "fee for service" basis, either through fixed fees or hourly charges. We are licensed by the federal government to perform actuarial services for qualified pension plans, and have provided plan design and administrative services to a broad range of retirement plans, funded through virtually all types of investment vehicles, for over 25 years.

As pension actuaries, our goal in each record keeping and consulting engagement is to ensure that the plan is administered in accordance with its provisions, and that it is properly designed, adequately funded, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
